Etsy, the Place to Find the Best Makers of Handmade or Reclaimed Vintage Dresses

These days, vintage anything has made a strong come back, offering a current look back into the days of our grandparents. I’ve had the opportunity to highlight some of the best of the best on Etsy when it comes to vintage dresses.

Lanni Lantto of FashionReDesign uses old and forgotten items and turns them into something new and updated in creative ways. Her design philosophy is to “create fun hip clothing out of pre-loved materials, the true eco-friendly way, creating no waste” and offers fully unique redesigned clothing, vintage wonders, and custom pieces. She currently has several vintage style dresses in her shop now, one of which is a repurposed piece of green art, literally and figuratively.

Raw edges, and surprising details bring forth a unique style.” And she does not disappoint. My favorite item in her shop right now is was rehemmed and cleaned up, and at a nice price of $82.00, it’s almost a steal. She says that this dress would work for any weather. The striped pattern is unique and adorable.

Shop Owner Sharpsissors creates dresses for little girls. She says she’s a mother of two and has been sewing most of her life. She also enjoys gardening and other crafty hobbies. One of the best dresses in her shop is called picnic in the county, girls silk laced. This vintage, old fashioned little pink dress would make any little girl so very happy to wear it. The style is old fashioned, but the choice of fabrics isn’t. The top layer of tulle is dotted with shimmering sparkles, and the entire dress is adorned with lots and lots of ribbon and lace. You can’t get much cuter than that.
